Maria is a health psychologist with a passion for empowering individuals of all ages who seek assistance for difficulties with; depression, anxiety, sleep, lifestyle imbalances, adjusting to chronic illness, relationship difficulties, stress management, high sensitivity, self-esteem, assertiveness and work issues. Her treatment approach is holistic, warm, energetic and accessible aswell as being evidence-based.

Maria completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in psychology at University of Melbourne whilst completing Vicfit Fitness Instructor training. After this she completed her postgraduate Social Work degree at University of Melbourne before completing her fourth year in a Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology at Royal Melbourne Insitute of Technology. After a year of study in Naturopathy, she entered and completed Masters of Psychology in Health, at Swinbourne University. In addition to this diverse academic training, Maria has extensive (15+ years) of practical clinical and leadership experience in public healthcare and private practice. She has worked with a diverse cross section of the the public in individual treatment and via group work.

Maria currently holds membership with Australian Psychological Society (APS), APS College of Health Psychologists and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Maria utilises the following therapy and treatment strategies in her sessions integrated into a holistic approach;Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Client Centered therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Psycho-education.
